North Forge is excited to announce the newest members to our team!
Tina Tenbergen
Tina has been the Assistant Maintenance Manager at the FabLab since July 17th and a long time member (since Assentworks!). Tina sits on the FabLab Member Council, leading the security role and backup trainer for the design space equipment.
Tina works with people to make things better. This could be designing and implementing software and processes to automate a workflow or creating bicycle clip-ins she added to her rowing shell. She has championed a wiki that documents a research database using data to track the state of documentation and drives improvement. Tina works with both 2D and 3D models to help develop and finalize plans or prototypes.
Tina has a Master’s degree of Science in Mechatronics from Ravensburg-Weingarten University in Germany and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba.
Grace, North Forge’s newest Program Coordinator, will be an integral part driving innovation into overseeing the Pathfinder & Base Camp stages of our Founders Program as well as building a sense of community for WiLab & AMLab members.
Grace has robust experience in program coordination built through her work at nonprofits across Winnipeg, including 1JustCity and Community Roots Resource Centre. Throughout her career she elevated established programs and also designed new programs from the bottom up. She enjoys collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and is passionate about relationship building and the power of community. Grace understands what it takes to develop solid programming and deliver helpful resources to as many people as possible.
She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Statistics, empowering her to recognize the importance of science and tech as tools for innovation.
Sheen, the new North Forge Communications Coordinator, is excited to help raise the awareness of North Forge by building engaging content and taking the social media platforms to the next level.
Sheen Chan is a graduate of Red River College Polytechnic’s Creative Communications program, majoring in media production, and has a degree in Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications from the University of Winnipeg.
