This session is designed to give the beginner or novice woodworker the skills they need to safely use the equipment in our fully equipped Carpentry Room.
It is required training in order to be allowed to use the Carpentry Room equipment as a North Forge member.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

* Safety Glasses (provided)
* Safety Toe Footwear (over-shoe toe caps provided)
* Hearing Protection (provided)
* Respiratory Protection (provided)
* No loose fitting clothing, jewelry, untied long hair. Short sleeved shirt are preferred.

The training will cover the following equipment:

* 12″ Jointer
* 20″ Thickness Planer
* 10″ Saw Stop Tablesaw
* 12″ Mitre Saw
* Router Table
* 6″ Edge Sander
* 20″ Band Saw
