Meet Marcie Wilson, who is our new Executive and Program Assistant. Marcie has spent most of her career supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders in Manitoba. This has given her an in-depth understanding of how entrepreneurs think and how successful businesses work. Many of these entrepreneurs allowed her to take areas of their business and treat them as her own, growing her entrepreneurial mindset. Marcie spent almost 18 years with a local office coffee service company where she was instrumental in the creation of a private label coffee line, transitioning each of the 8 coffees to have sustainability certifications such as organic, Fair Trade & Rainforest Alliance as well as creating a custom coffee that supports Assiniboine Park Conservancy. She also created and launched a compost program for their office coffee customers to reduce the impact of their products.
Marcie is happiest at work when she is making those she supports look good to their staff, clients and contacts and her passion for building relationships with people within an organization helps her to understand and better support them in their work. She is in her element when she can look after the details and run with a project, freeing others to focus on other things.
Marcie is proudly Manitoba born & raised and is thrilled with the work North Forge is doing to have others realize we don’t need to leave Manitoba to do great things and bring great ideas to life
