From April 11 to 13, we’re bringing together developers, designers, makers, and entrepreneurs under one roof to build real businesses quickly. Whether you are a first-time founder or a creative thinker looking for your next adventure, you can turn ideas into impact and create a minimum viable product (MVP) with a supportive, like-minded community.
💡 What’s RampUp Weekend?
RampUp Weekend is an intense, hands-on event that helps aspiring founders launch tech-enabled, science-based, or advanced manufacturing businesses within one weekend.
But it’s more than just building. It’s a chance to connect, collaborate, and create something meaningful. You’ll gain mentorship, test your ideas, and take your first steps into Manitoba’s startup ecosystem.
🗓️ What Happens in 50+ Hours?
Friday, April 11 | 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
📍 Innovation Hub – 100 Innovation Drive, 1st Floor
• Kick things off by pitching your idea. You’ll have just 60 seconds to share it.
• The top ideas will be selected to move forward in the competition.
• Teams are formed, combining developers, designers, business strategists, and makers.
• Brainstorming begins as you shape your MVP and business model.
Saturday, April 12 | 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Time to build and refine.
• Teams work on logos, websites, product mockups, and prototypes.
• Mentors move from team to team, asking tough questions and helping you refine your approach.
• Expect a full day of focused collaboration.
Sunday, April 13 | 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Final touches are added to your MVP.
• Teams prepare for a high-impact pitch session.
• Each team will deliver a 5-minute pitch and a 5-minute Q&A with the judging panel.
• Awards will be presented to the top teams.
Note: The Innovation Hub is open until 10:00 p.m. daily for participating teams. You can also continue working offsite. Please note that the venue will be closed to non-participants.
