My journey as Founder and CEO of SomaDetect, a dairy technology startup, was marked by significant milestones. I secured over $20 million in funding from venture capitalists, grants, loans, and pitch competitions. I won $2M in pitch competitions alone. Under my leadership, the company built product that included development of novel hardware, cloud/software, and AI algorithms. In additional to building innovative technology, the team grew to a team of 30-plus members, monitoring thousands of cows and managing terabytes of critical data. This yielded valuable international patents and publications in technology, and pilots and distribution deals with global leaders in the space.
I exited SomaDetect in 2024. Today, I leverage my expertise to support entrepreneurs, startups, and organizations through strategic guidance, pitch performance coaching, and AI-based product development and growth marketing. With a PhD in Biology and deep entrepreneurial experience, I bridge science, technology, business, and leadership. My goal is to empower others to achieve their vision and focus on building revenue from $1 to $1M.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I serve on the Boards of the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network and Springboard Atlantic, and volunteer within the community. In my free time, I enjoy climbing, hiking, singing, and spending time with loved ones.
